By being a part of this community you are agreeing to these rules listed below.
If you don’t agree, we will not be offended that you have chosen to leave.
1. No bullying of any sort allowed
Members of this group are to be respectful and accepting of one another at all times.
Members can share their nursing or personal life experiences and ask questions without the fear of being judged or bullied. We are all doing the best we can with what we’ve got. Each of us only knows what we know also.
2. Be polite. No second chances.
That means respecting people’s feelings, privacy and rights…
If you’re rude or disrespectful or spammy…we’ll have to ban you.
Remember, we all want a loving, supportive village.
3. Provide genuine and helpful feedback and suggestions to others.
If you don’t know the answer but you have even the slightest suggestion, then go for it. It’s an open discussion for everyone to brainstorm an answer.
We are all here to support each other in our growth towards being the best nurses we can be so that our patient’s have our best all the time. At times your beliefs may be challenged but by being part of this group, you are being open to other ways of thinking.
Remember: We are here to help each other…so give more than you take, please.
4. No self promotion
There are many of us who have found ourselves in self-employment as a second job or some of us who desperately want to help out our friend who has just started a business. Please abide by our ‘No self-promotion’ or ‘promotion on behalf of…’ rule. If you have something you would like to share, please email Admin who will consider each request.
Definition of self-promotion:
-selling anything – that means products, services, courses, events and programs
-promoting your webinar or event
-posting a link to your OWN website
-posting affiliate links…ever – that’s just wrong
– posting your own content in the group and not in a specific (and relevant) thread. This includes posting links to surveys or creating surveys in the group, posting photos with your social handles, URLs or business name on them AND posting “free” offers
You can however, post your link to your website, group, FB page, webinar, survey, offer and social profiles in the dedicated promotion thread that will commence IF Admin begins to receive a lot of requests to promote.
But that’s the only time 🙂
We may break our own rule and promote something if we feel as though it is of service to the group. We reserve that right as it is our group and community.
5. Any health advice given in the forum by any member or admin is not to replace the advice from you medical doctor.
It’s great to be part of a community that supports you in your health care journey but remember that it should NEVER replace your doctor’s advice. Any advice offered is opinion only and should be taken that way. It is not gospel.
Any advice offered from Brooke Batchelor, The Paed(iatric) Nurse, is her opinion only. Please seek the advice of your medical doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist who knows your personal situation better than anyone before taking on any advice you receive.
Other than that, let’s have some fun!
**Note: These rules are subject to change without notice. It’s on you to keep updated and abide by all rules.
